I Don't Remember

Whoa! That's a really long list of stuff I'm wearing. If you follow me on Instagram, you might know that I split the butt open on my leather pants while squatting. I found the same pair at the LF warehouse sale recently, so I ripped out the zipper and converted them to lace up pants again. I'm going to take it easy and not wear them out like I did to my last pair since cheap leather pants are hard to come by.

This is also the first time wearing my Diego bag on the blog! Net-a-Porter had an insane sale (hello no tax and free shipping!) and I was able to get one right before it sold out thanks to my obsessive email checking habits. I think sales are a recurring topic on my blog, but I just can't resist slashed prices..

Put Em Inside!

I usually don't go after white maxi dresses because it can look a little too bridal for my taste. There's also something about white fabric that's a bit off putting since you can end up looking like a walking napkin if there's a little too much fabric and the fit isn't right. Black = slimming, white = risky. Luckily this one has a cute print and lots of cut outs that keep it looking like anything but a wedding dress. This maxi originally had cinched sleeves, but since my arms were too short, the fabric was bunching up oddly. I pulled the elastic out and now it has some cute bell sleeves!

Cheers for bodychains that are actually fashionable and cool! I've always found them to be a little tacky since they're usually chunky, blinged out and just asking for attention.. or really delicate and pointless. The Auryn by Vanessa Mooney is somewhere in the middle of that spectrum and the reason I am on the hunt for more effortless bodychains. This one has a cool little pendant that sits on your chest and I like that it's not over the top.

I wasn't going to buy anything for Cyber Monday, but Novella Royale was having an insane 50% off sale so it was hard to say no. I was obsessed with this print when I first saw it on the Janis Bells, but I'm happy it was available on other styles because I really didn't need another pair of bell bottoms. The shape is really cute and I plan on wearing it with leggings when the next round of cold weather hits Socal.

Furr, it's cold

I can't be the only one that painfully checks Nasty Gal's site every time they have a sale. My latest purchase was not so bad, 4 items for $74! I ended up getting this maxi dress that has a somewhat dressy cut, but it's made from soft stretchy fabric which makes me feel like it's okay to wear it out casually. I also got this super cute jacket from Reformation that I had been eyeing for so long. I originally got a light wash plus a dark wash and was going to decide later which one to keep. Such a bad idea for my wallet, they were both too cute for me to return one. Oh well..

2020 AVE Plaid Flannel Shirt Dress // Fantas Round Sunglasses // American Apparel Opaque Stockings // Alexander Wang Rocco // Celine Buckle Strap Clogs

It was Sean's idea to stop by this bridge. He said he wanted to take me to a bridge where all these rap music videos are shot ha ha. So we stopped by and it was funny because I've driven over this bridge a ton of times since I work right next to it. It was really windy and not so easy to climb in these clunky wooden clogs.

I saw this Flannel Dress on 2020AVE and I had to have it! It's so cute and the front is shorter than the back so I decided to wear my black stockings. I'm also very happy because I have my round sunglasses back! I crushed my first pair so I bought two of them in case I am destructive on an off day.

Lace and Camo

Finally, a baggy maxi skirt that doesn't make me feel like I'm hauling around a fabric store! I picked this one up at the Nightcap sample sale in the Cooper building this week since I started work later than I usually do. I paired the skirt with my Lisbon top because it has fluttery edges and I thought it was the perfect girly complement. I threw in the faux shearling camo jacket and Tardy boots to make it a little more tomboy and more my style.

Midnight Cowboy Rides Again

Who knew this dirty old alley by my place could look so dreamy! I've tried doing countless blog posts in alleys and they usually turn out less magical. Maybe the lack of dumpsters did the trick today. I almost wore this top with a high waisted maxi skirt and I am so happy I decided to wear these navy bells instead. I love the fun 'Japanese daisy' print and they are my only bells I can wear without heels. I'm just praying that Spanish Moss does another sample sale so I can buy like everything they make. So much regret only buying two things at the last one..

Late Night Delirium

One of the best parts of going home is digging through my old clothes! I found these suede boots that I bought in college and thought they would be perfect for fall. I'm not into the jeans-with-tall-boots-look so I wore mine with some itty bitty faux leather shorts. I got a package with a bunch of Michael Stars clothing and I purposefully picked all the soft, stretchy goodies because I want to be comfortable once the weather starts getting colder. The hi-lows do a good job of covering up the rear, a major plus in my book. I also played it up with the textures and wore my glossy leather jacket with lots of suede accessories.

Good night, world!

I was fiending for another Nightcap piece ever since I got my first Nightcap dress during Planet Blue's amazing 75% off sale last year. I spied this little floral romper on Free People a while back and I have been mega stalking the site bi-weekly until it finally went on sale. It actually had a really generous first-cut discount so I purchased it right away. I'm a fan of the straight neckline and the adjustable criss-cross side ties. The front panel is perfectly sized so there's no weird side boob spillage, but it shows enough skin on the sides to stand out.

I also got these DV ankle boots on Shop Akira a couple weeks ago when they had their additional 40% off sale. I accidentally shipped them to my mom's house, but I picked them up last week and I've been wearing them non-stop to work every day. They are so comfortable, not as comfy as my dicker boots, but they come to a close second. I sense that Shop Akira will be having an even better sale during black friday so I would highly recommend these boots if you're in the market for an every day ankle boot.

Ode to No Doubt

Today I am wearing my anchor necklace for sort of the first time. I saw Gwen Stefani wearing it on the cover of Elle Girl back when I was in 6th grade and I begged my mom for it. I was literally obsessed with Gwen Stefani, I even have a shrine dedicated to her at my house to this day. When I was in college I let a girl borrow it for her halloween costume, she never returned it, and then disappeared off the face of the earth (DAMN YOU SONIA). Like how do you even avoid a person when you use social networks like Facebook. Anyway, if you want to learn how to avoid people, just ask Sonia cause she's an expert. I mean, an apology would have sufficed, but whatever. After years of beating myself up for even letting someone borrow something that had so much meaning to me, I decided to just buy it again. Lo and behold, White Trash Charms went out of business. Okay... So fast forward another year of sadness to September 2013. I checked eBay and I found some WTC jewelry which led me to a sketchy looking site which is now owned by the person who owns the license for WTC. It finally arrived in the mail and it's exactly the same as the one I used to have so now I officially have found some peace of mind.

The end.
